Position Summary:

We are looking for an experienced infrastructure engineer to join our Enterprise Cybersecurity Solutions team to help build out and support several identity and access management (IAM) technologies and processes.

This team member will be responsible for engineering and operations of identity products, and platforms that integrate with business applications and solutions across the enterprise, with a focus on Privileged Access Management. The IAM engineer will manage technical specifications, identify dependencies with cross-platform integrations and deployments, troubleshoot and resolve system issues, and engage other teams as the IAM engineering SME. The ideal candidate is passionate about security, has experience working with large scale enterprise software, and has direct experience with infrastructure engineering for a privileged access management platform, such as CyberArk.

As Securian continues to expand its cybersecurity capabilities, this position will have an exciting opportunity to become a member of a growing agile team, support/engineer a modern technology stack running on AWS, and to be involved with the implementation of new technologies from the ground up. We are looking for a motivated technologist who is seeking opportunities to grow both their technical and cybersecurity knowledge and skillsets.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Manage and configure infrastructure for a suite of enterprise IAM tools with a primary focus on CyberArk. Additional tool coverage may include Ping Directory, PingID, PingFederate, and Venafi.
  • Build and manage infrastructure in AWS using Infrastructure as Code
  • Engage with other internal teams as an IAM engineering SME.
  • Work with vendor support to identify and find root cause, and resolve product issues during deployment, configuration, and integration activities
  • Partner with other cybersecurity teams to integrate solutions within the Identity and Access Management ecosystem
  • Participate in the ongoing evaluation of the team's DevOps process to improve performance and stability of our use of Infrastructure as Code.
  • Partner with compliance, governance and risk, as needed, to meet corporate policies and regulatory mandates



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience working in an engineering role on IAM solutions.
  • Experience configuring, engineering, and/or supporting privileged access management tools (i.e. CyberArk).



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience configuring, engineering, or supporting Identity and Access Management tools (i.e. PingFederate, PingIdentity, PingDirectory, Venafi).
  • Cloud configuration and deployment via Infrastructure as Code (e.g., AWS CloudFormation).
  • Experience with Cloud runtime services (e.g., AWS EC2, ELB, Kinesis).
  • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD technologies (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
  • Experience supporting the engineering and administration of distributed systems.
  • Familiarity and ability to work with in an Agile / Scrum environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong technical writing/documentation experience
  • Ability to work in a team setting and to collaborate in a multi-task environment



Physical Job Requirements

  • Ability to utilize keyboard, mouse and computer for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week.
  • Ability to utilize phone for approximately 2-4 hours per day.
