Job Responsibilities
Davidson Technologies is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer for Huntsville, AL. Duties will include:

Key consultant to cyber management on high visibility security initiatives

Strong technical acumen and attention to detail

Thorough understanding of system and network protocols and their relationship to security infrastructure

Detailed understanding of cyber security methodologies

Experience in defining security requirements for information systems

Analytical skillset in identifying security issues and appropriate recommendations

Strong understanding of data protection, confidentiality and appropriate security controls

Awareness of cyber security trends and hacking techniques

Qualifications
Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree preferred

Excellent understanding of layer2 and layer3 concepts, TCP/IP, SSL/TLS

Strong understanding of data encryption and IAM technologies

History of analyzing systems or projects for security weaknesses and policy alignment

Comfortability with Linux and surrounding administration

Display background in functionality and maintenance of a SIEM or log management technology

Display background in functionality and maintenance next generation firewall platform

Understanding of distributed computing environment and concepts

Identify operational security metrics and KPI to show health and overall cyber posture

Desired Competencies/Experience/Certifications:

Experience with Splunk Validated Architecture

Experience with Palo Alto firewalls

Experience with scripting languages, Python or PowerShell

Experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)

Clearance Requirements: Must have ability to obtain Secret Clearance
