Role Description:

This position is for a Customer/1 Application Tech Lead where you will be responsible for the technical design and development of application changes to the Customer/1 CIS application for large utility companies. This role also includes the support of junior designers/developers in a global delivery model and providing support for production application environments that includes the analysis/resolution of production batch abends, exceptions, and support tickets.

The Work (Role Responsibility)

• Work with client business analysts to gain understanding of the stated business requirements and documented functional requirements.
• Develop technical designs for the Customer/1 application based on business requirements. Designs include application solution approach options, noted application impacts, testing recommendations and an estimate of the work effort based on stated application changes.
• Assist development team with application changes, that includes technical and functional assistance on how to complete the application changes, review of application changes and testing and coaching/training of junior resources.
• Complete Application Development for complex changes.
• Work under senior project leadership and ensure on time delivery and escalation of risks/issues to delivery that may include the need for change management of the requested changes.
• Ability to step in and program application changes for adhoc support or to resolve complex application issues for the development team.
• Perform and support others in analysis and resolution of defects found in testing for application development changes.
• Perform and support others in the analysis and resolution of production abends or other production issues as part of application support.

The Customer/1 Application Tech Lead should be able to bridge the gap between Development and Technical Design where application-level risks to delivery are proactively identified, communicated, and mitigated. Candidate should be able to work in fast-paced multi-disciplinary environments in a global delivery model.
