We are hiring an operational excellence engineer who will lead and execute process improvement efforts across the global Micron Sales Customer Engineering organization. This is a cross-functional role that will collaborate closely with functional teams to understand customer engineering deliverables. This includes leading broad cross functional program management, develop and promote process improvements for customer engineering, ensuring integration and alignment across the organization, with key stakeholders, aligned to our goals and priorities.
The successful candidate will develop and promote process improvements, data-driven, technology-enabled approach to improve process efficiencies and performance results. This role will work with stakeholders across Sales, Business Units, Engineering, Quality and Customers.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
  • Works directly with the customer engineering leadership team to ensure all aspects of the processes are effective and efficient with alignment to Micron's goals
  • The role includes tracking performance on established metrics, generating reports, and collecting and analyzing data as it relates to business plans, forecasts, sample plans, opportunity pipelines and design win management
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators; track, analyze and report KPIs
  • Identify and lead process enhancement/automation opportunities
  • Drives innovation by researching and using new data modeling techniques or tools
  • Manages and tracks scorecards in alignment with key roadmap needs, programs, and initiatives
  • Partner with the Sales Operations team to evolve Sales Force and dashboarding along with change management
  • Facilitates strategy meetings including coordination and metric reviews
  • Manage global purchase orders for equipment and computer systems along with tracking and vendor follow-up
  • Work with project teams to document business requirements definitions, including business opportunity, vision of solution and expected benefits
  • Examines existing processes, evaluates them within the context of organizational goals and proposes changes or improvements to help achieve goals
  • Program management of technical training events
  • Facilitate and set the agenda and content for project-based meetings
  • Ensures successful implementation of projects into business processes with desired results

Required Experience:
  • The ability to be a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision
  • The ability to work on a variety of projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • The business acumen to achieve tactical goals and identify opportunities for operational excellence within the group
  • The ability to work cross functionally and lead via indirect influence
  • Proven track record to tackle problems across multi-functional groups, both inside and outside the department
  • Proven track record to plan, drive, and complete projects effectively
  • The ability to work cross functionally and lead via indirect influence
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Education:
  • Bachelors or Master's Degree in Engineering preferred, Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Marketing or Business required
