Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience as a pre-sales engineer at an enterprise technology company, or equivalent experience in a similar customer-facing role.
• Experience working for/with the financial services industry.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Preferred qualifications:

• MBA or Master's degree in Computer Science.
• 3 years of experience serving as a Pre-Sales Engineering Manager.
• Experience in data and information management, managing databases, and identifying big data trends and issues within businesses.
• Experience developing software for scalable, distributed systems, managing enterprise networking and identity management systems, and using Linux.
• Knowledge of Big Data, PaaS, and IaaS industry and technical concepts, web application development platforms, and related technologies.
• Ability to craft a compelling message and tailor it for a given audience.

As a Customer Engineering Manager for Google Cloud Financial Services, you will lead a team to engage with customers, accounts, and partners to understand and assess customer requirements. You and your team will prepare and present demonstrations of Google's Cloud technologies and address technical questions that arise. You'll lead efforts for solution innovation, working across the organization to identify the right tools to drive customer adoption.

You will manage a diverse team of engineering professionals and maintain technical expertise to engage directly with customers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Work with Sales management to determine proper staffing levels to support annual goals.
• Work with Cloud Sales team and leadership to identify, qualify, and prioritize coverage for business opportunities. Participate in periodic opportunity review meetings.
• Maintain customer satisfaction through working with internal teams to resolve product problems affecting customer satisfaction.
• Organize, train, and equip the Customer Engineering (CE) team; assess team's go-to-market readiness, identify gaps in preparedness, and build plans to ensure they are properly trained.
• Travel up to 50% to visit customers throughout the region.
