Continuous Improvement Engineer

Responsible for maintaining a proper balance of necessary inventories in line with production requirements. Focuses on driving improvements in the supply planning process and executionRegular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read, write, and converse in English. Develops and coordinates the plant production plans and demand requirements of master scheduled items for the assigned product groups:
  • Site leader of targeted non-conformance reduction.
  • Goal is 50% reduction by end of FY22.
  • Targeted non-conformances are labeling, package integrity, and mixed product.
  • Project Management and execution. Plans, leads project update reviews, and completes action items.
  • Sets goals, establishes priorities, manages project resources, develops concepts and approaches, and makes management decisions.
  • Manage the change control process. Effectively reports out to both site and off-site teams on progress of projects.
  • Ensures regulatory compliance of projects by collaborating with the applicable groups.
  • Complies with all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies, and procedures including HCRA Hazardous Waste regulations.
  • Complies with all local BD quality policies, procedures, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles.

Qualifications and Requirements


Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering related field.

  • Three to five years of broad experience in project management with a preference in manufacturing engineering or industrial engineering.
  • Experience with packaging operations is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Self-motivated, strong problem solving capability, strong drive for results and tactical execution.
  • Strong leadership skills.
