Job Description Responsibilities

  • Design, code, test and deliver software to improve our existing systems
  • Troubleshoot and manage incidents, communicate with stakeholders at all levels, facilitate blameless post-mortems, identify follow-up corrective and preventative actions to ensure permanent closure of incidents
  • Actively participate in the development life cycle. Ensuring reliability and scalability, minimal and operational stability.
  • Define, create and track application analytics in support of better service level objectives
  • Ensure adherence to change management release processes, accelerate automation of these processes.
  • Run resiliency management planning, scheduling and execution of disaster Recovery tests. Seek to automate these activities where possible
  • Participate in support coverage as needed with some weekend and Bank Holiday coverage on a rotational basis.
  • Build and foster relationships across multiple organizations within both technology and operations
  • Mentor and skill-share with other team members, participate in a culture of self-learning and sharing.

Qualifications and technical skills.

  • B.S. / M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline
  • 3-5 years of more of experience in Core Java and Java EE
  • Experience in application development of distributed mission-critical Trading or Transactional Analytics systems
  • Agile development methodology and test-driven development. Familiarity with automated tools as such Maven, Jenkins and Cucumber
  • Experience in developing high-quality interactive UI and UX using Java WebUI technologies such as Angular-JS and Node-JS
  • Experience with database programming to design and build enterprise-scale and high-volume Oracle data processing applications using packages, procedures, triggers, PL/SQL, Java Stored Procedures
  • Ability to work under pressure and take ownership of issues. Sense of urgency to solve problems and propose solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to multi-task, proactive and attention to detail
