Who you are:

• Knowledgeable with professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including writing codes, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Understand of microservice based architecture and design. Also write codes to create the application based on approved architecture/design.
• Keeping current with technological developments within the industry. Also, Monitors and evaluates competitive applications and products.
• Consistently review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects.
• Experienced in knowledge of engineering methodologies, concepts and skills and their application in the area of specified engineering specialty.
• Experienced in process design and redesign with ability to present and defend architectural, design and technical choices to internal audiences.
• Consistently exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

What you'll do:

• As a Lead Software Development Engineer, you will Independently lead complex technical initiatives within your team.
• Mentor and lead developers by cultivating curiosity and deep technical understanding.
• Explore technical needs and bring solutions to the table.
• Set the technical strategy for your team.
• Develop Codes to implement, create and deliver applications/features in existing application
• Take a leading role in building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements. Conducts analysis to determine integration needs.
• Design new software and web applications, supports applications under development and customizes current applications. Develops software update process for existing applications. Assist in the roll-out of software releases.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the design process and guidance with regards to practices, procedures, and techniques.
• Assist in tracking and evaluating performance metrics. Ensures team delivers software on time, to specification and within budget.
• Work with Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements.

What you bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field

• 4+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems
• 6+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, Node.js, and other various JavaScript languages/frameworks
• Object-oriented design
• 4+ years of professional software development experience
• 2+ years of experience as a mentor, tech lead OR leading an engineering team

Preferred:

• Experience collaborating directly with key stakeholders and technical teams to collect requirements and communicate detailed software features, technical designs, and product strategies
• Experience mentoring junior software engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
• Experience influencing software engineers' best practices within team
• Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project
• Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
• Deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems; ability to think abstractly
• Implementing features using cloud-based components.
• Developing components satisfying high volume requests
