If so, prepare to innovate, create, and inspire Senior Application developer position within Core Billing and Banking Team to support ongoing portfolio projects, application support and maintenance. The successful candidate should have solid expertise on Mainframe Cobol, DB2, CICS, and JCL. Experience in developing web-enabled solutions utilizing Microsoft (,net, ASP), Java technologies, Cognos an additional plus. Developer should leverage global delivery model, collaborate with system analysts, quality analysts, delivery teams and release management functions in support of managed IT projects in the healthcare domain. Lead the design, develop, test and implement applications on Mainframe and Web platforms.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Works with software development architect, development and QA teams to perform product design, implementation, defect verification and remedy on application software projects.
  • Works directly with Product Management team to implement against product requirements, and solicit more information as required.
  • Key development resource for mainframe and .net /Java development group
  • Identifies opportunities for improving software development methods and procedures and communicates recommendations appropriately.
  • Works within Scrum team environment to deliver on commitments within monthly release cycle.



Required

  • BS degree in a field directly related to software development plus a minimum of five years of relevant technical experience in application design and programming and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong COBOL/CICS/DB2 skills, including coding, debugging and tuning
  • Ability to write clear, concise code in Cobol, DB2, and Jcl
  • Ability to write clear, concise code in C# or Java utilizing Object Oriented techniques.
  • Experience implementing (not just utilizing) formal software design patterns in solutions.
  • Solid understanding of REST principles. (Nice to have)
  • Experience with multi-tiered architectures in a SOA environment.
  • Ability to write and debug complex stored procedures/triggers in DB2
  • Strong DB2 Skills, including modeling and tuning
  • Experience with .NET 4.6.1 framework and Visual Studio 2017.
  • Experience with .NET Asynchronous processing and Parallelism
  • Experience with ASP.NET Webform, Knowledge of ASP.MVC is a plus
  • Experience in Java and Struts
  • Experience in Cognos
  • Experience utilizing Single Page Applications
  • Experience utilizing unit testing and mocking frameworks such as MSTest, NUnit, Moq, Rhino Mocks, and similar tools.



Preferred

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with Unit Testing and Test Driven Development.
  • Experience with Performance Profiling.
  • Knowledge of Healthcare industry



For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $105,600 - $176,000, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
