Job Description:
Role Summary: The Azure Cloud Support Engineer is responsible for day to day support of our enterprise cloud operating environment. This person will work on a high performing team providing 24 x 7 x 365 coverage. The Cloud Support Engineer has the opportunity to work with cutting edge technologies while solving some of the most unique challenges within the Cloud environment.
Additional Responsibilities include:
- System Design - The process of defining and documenting the hardware, software, infrastructure components, modules, interfaces, scalability, and high availability solutions that meet specified business development & Application Integration requirements
- Incident troubleshooting, analysis, and resolution for web applications
- Day-to-day administration includes installation, testing, tuning, upgrading and loading patches, and troubleshooting server problems
- Installation of home grown and vendor software, documenting the steps and promoting to upstream teams for deployment
- Supporting issues with deployments in the upstream environments
- Bridge the gap between current processes and cadence to Bank of America process and cadence
- Design, engineer, build, operate, patch, troubleshoot
- Appliances and application environments requiring high touch, white glove support
- Experience, flexibility, and the ability to think outside the box
- Anticipation is that this sector of support will grow
Required Skills:
- 3 or more years production support engineering experience
- Hands on experience with Azure
- Must be willing to provide on call support as part of an as needed rotation
- Hands on experience in scripting, specifically with Azure PowerShell and Azure CLI
- Hands on experience with JSON
Desired Skills:
- 5 or more years production support engineering experience
- Windows Operating System, IIS and .NET application integration experience
- Hands on with AWS
- Agile environment experience
- RedHat Linux, Windows, variants
- Knowledge on CICD tools
- Good knowledge of networking fundamentals
- Persistent problem solver - owns issues until full resolution
- Effective with time management and expected deliverables
- Exceptional communication skills; both written and verbal with great attention to detail
