Description
The Cloud Solutions Engineer 2 Implements organization's cloud strategy from a technical perspective, including design, planning, integration, maintenance and support of cloud architecture. May work with stakeholders across organization to evaluate cloud systems and identify appropriate solutions. Collaborates with product managers and engineers to develop specifications for new cloud based products/services, applications and solutions. Drives the roll-out of cloud management platforms, evaluates its performance and implements enhancements. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.
Responsibilities
The Cloud Solutions Engineer 2 utilizes software that manages and monitors networks, systems and applications not only to guarantee performance to cloud software environments but also to better orchestrate and automate provisioning of resources. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.
Being part of platform engineering team, you will build and support cloud infrastructure operations, support CI/CD pipelines, writing Terraform scripts to provision infrastructure as code, and provide operational support for all Azure infrastructure. Having a solid understanding of security, identity, networking, and strong problem solving skills.
Required Qualifications
- Our Department of Defense contract requires U.S. citizenship for this position.
- If offered a position with Humana Government Business you will be required to go through the eQIP process to obtain Government Security Clearance to work on government systems.

- Experience in Networking
- Experience in Windows and Linux
- Bachelor's Degree in Technical Field or Equivalent Technical Experience
- 2 years of Experience in cloud environments or Microsoft Azure Certifications (Associate Level or Higher)
- 1 year or more of Scripting and Automation experience (PowerShell, BASH, ARM, Etc.)
- Infrastructure Automation (PowerShell / Terraform/YAML/ARM)
- Strong Written and Communication Skills
- Experience working in Microsoft Azure , or other CSPs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience utilizing Source Control preferably Git
- Experience working in an agile work environment
- Strong Networking Knowledge - Routing, DNS, Firewalls
- Experience working Agile work environment using Azure Devops
- Experience working in Azure Government or Government Cloud Environments
