About the role

We are looking for a cloud security engineer to help us build our cybersecurity program with best-in-class technology and processes. As part of a small team, you will get your hands dirty in multiple aspects of our information security program, but your focus will be on helping us establish foundational controls across our cloud environments and monitoring the day-to-day cybersecurity posture of our organization.

• Perform security audits and monitoring of Microsoft Azure resources.
• Evaluate, design and deploy security tools that support Azure and Microsoft365 integrations.
• Perform application security activities such as threat modeling, embedding security controls into CI/CD pipelines, and develop vulnerability remediation plans.
• Maintain a current understanding of cybersecurity requirements and best practices
• Demonstrate understanding of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Security Center, Kubernetes, and Terraform
• Analyze complex log sources and forensic artifacts to identify suspicious or malicious actions against our information systems.
• Assist in identifying insecure, misconfigured, or out-of-date systems and software.

The experience you have

• A curiosity about how systems work, and desire to find how they can be manipulated to produce unintended or malicious outcomes
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with minimum of 2 years of experience with Microsoft Azure cloud security.
• Depth of knowledge regarding Microsoft Azure architectures
• Practical experience with Kubernetes and DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform)
• Experience with a programming or scripting language in live, production environments
• Comfort dealing with ambiguity
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex topics in a clear manner
