As an experienced Cloud Security Engineer, you will be part of a highly motivated team laser-focused on analyzing, designing, developing, and delivering solutions built to stop adversaries and strengthen our operations. You will share your expertise, thought leadership and overall guidance and support, both with your team and across all our business and technology groups. You will deploy best practices, implement new policies, and embrace emerging trends to strengthen our storage strategic roadmap as part of your deliverables. you'll be building products of a global and strategic nature that impact our customers, clients, and businesses around the globe. You will thrive in technical environments where your customers and partners are technical . Seek to resolve technical challenges for customers. Eager to learn new technologies and are well versed in modern cloud development best practices. Accountable. Clear communicator to multiple stakeholders across a Global enterprise. Expert in working with cross-functional engineering teams.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Performs development, deployment, administration, management, configuration, testing, and integration tasks related to the cloud security platforms
  • Help develop new security strategies and implementations for the storage program within the firm.
  • Champion a DevOps security model so that security is automated and elastic across all platforms.
  • Support the Firm's goals in secure adoption through hands on interaction with development teams to cultivate a cloud first mindset in transitioning workloads.
  • Provides support to develop & improve the quality of technical engineering documentation.
  • Provides support to drive the maturity of the Cybersecurity software development lifecycle.
  • Makes decisions of a global, strategic nature by analyzing complex data systems and incorporating knowledge of other lines of business & JPMC standards.
  • Ensures all engineering and development activities are in conformance with JPMC policies and objectives.
  • Help define the development of product technology roadmap & engineering documentation.
  • Leads product design, development, and transition to operations.
  • Provides quality control of engineering deliverables.
  • Provides technical consultation to product management.
  • Provides technical interface between development and operations teams.
  • Leverage DevOps tools to build, harden, maintain, and instrument a comprehensive security orchestration platform for infrastructure as code.
  • Develop automated security and compliance capabilities in support of DevOps processes in a large-scale computing environment


Required Skills:
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Desire to up-skill and self-develop
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relative technical field or equivalent field experience.
  • 10+ years of overall experience with software engineering experience and 3+ years of recent experience working on implementing solutions in cloud.
  • Experience to include implementation of highly scalable systems, release management, software configuration, design, development, and implementation is required.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages like Python and Java ideally.
  • Strong technical background with one or more Public Cloud platforms, AWS, GCP, Azure (emphasis on Storage)
  • Public/Private Cloud experience as it relates to Cybersecurity in a mission critical environment.
  • Ability to analyzing complex data systems - failure analysis / root cause analysis
  • Developing, improving, and maintaining technical engineering documentation
  • Roadmap development and ability to evangelize / champion benefits to internal consumers
  • Experience designing visibility outputs intended to establish baselines and prove security posture against implemented controls
  • Advanced expertise or desire to become an expert in Cybersecurity organization practices, operations, risk management processes, principles, architectural requirements, engineering and threats and vulnerabilities
  • Demonstrated expertise in Cybersecurity and Agile, creating competitive advantage through the application of leading-edge technologies and methodologies
  • Knowledge of industry wide technology trends and best practices
  • Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture
  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Open Container Initiative (OCI); CI/CD experience utilizing tools such as GitHub, Terraform, Jenkins, etc. and practical exposure with automation tools like Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, and Puppet.
  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity organization practices, operations, risk management processes, principles, engineering, and threats & vulnerabilities, including IR methodologies; experience in either threat intelligence, application security
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate concepts to a senior management and customer.
  • Proven experience of building strong, cohesive partnerships with the business, operations, technology, and other key stakeholders
  • Practice of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
  • Cloud Infrastructure deployment at scale (OSB, Terraform, SCIM)
  • Experience with DevOps processes in a Cloud/SaaS environment.
  • Experience with service-oriented architectures and web services/API security.
  • Understanding of cloud, virtualization, APIs, and modern software languages.
  • Understanding or have experience with Agile and lean philosophies.
  • Ability to collaborate with different roles to achieve common goals.


Desired Skills:

  • Cyber Security Domain experience/CISSP
  • Cryptography experience/knowledge is a plus
  • Experience with storage protocols such as S3, iSCSI, NAS, NVME/TCP is a plus.
  • Background in IAM (Identity & Access Management) concepts, technologies, and products like Key Management, ADFS, OAuth 2.0, SAML, CyberArk, HashiCorpVault, Beyond Trust, etc. is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of cross-domain/ cloud-to-cloud authentication.
