Security: Rebellion's Security team is responsible for protecting the company's people, assets, products and ongoing business operations against security threats and disasters. We work in close partnership with US and UK governments, the defense industry, and across all internal business functions to ensure that security is built into our company and our products. Whether it is deep domain expertise and advice, to detection and response to emerging threats, to management of regulatory and contractual obligations, the security team drives a holistic security strategy to ensure trust in Rebellion and its products.
How you'll make a difference in this role:
We are looking to add a Cloud Security Engineer to our team in Seattle, WA, Washington, DC, or remote (US).
As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will help build and scale our cloud security function which works closely with the product and engineering organization. You'll be a driving force in improving our cloud security posture across multiple and complex environments as well as supporting infrastructure and automation capabilities with our Detection and Response and Product Security teams. As an engineer, subject matter expert and advisor, your efforts will enable Rebellion to deliver quickly while ensuring the security of the infrastructure of our products and internal systems.

This role reports to the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer.
What your mission is:

• Champion security at Rebellion Defense and provide security guidance to engineering and product teams.
• Lead or respond to security investigations as necessary.
• Define and execute a multi-cloud SaaS environment security strategy.
• Contribute to the secure architecture and design around Rebellion Defense products.
• Implement infrastructure and operational security best practices, security requirements, and security controls.
• Design and build Cloud Security Posture controls.
• Design and build security platforms and tools, and security features of Rebellion products.
• Work closely with the Product Security, IT & Detection and Response teams in implementing security solutions to include security tooling, integrations in SOAR, etc.
• Build automation to enable security operations for compliance, legal, human resources, and other departments.

You may be fit for this role if your expertise aligns to:

• Have 4+ years of cloud security experience
• Depth of knowledge of Software Security Architecture and Design, SDLC and the ability to clearly articulate best practices
• Deep experience with public cloud environments and technologies, including Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
• Deep experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• You believe in a "paved road" strategy to build application, infrastructure, offensive and operational security.
• Offensive mentality (bonus: hands-on exploitation knowledge)

The annual salary range for this role as it is posted is $197,641 to $237,169 regardless of final candidate location within the US. The final job level and annual salary will be determined based on the education, qualification, knowledge, skills, ability, and experience of the final candidate(s), and calibrated against relevant market data and internal team equity. The Nature of our Work:
We are driving fast change to an extremely regulated industry. Many of the national security programs that are supported by Rebellion's products operate in secure environments and access to those spaces and the data in them may require an active personnel security clearance. It is a requirement of this position that you are able to obtain and hold a personnel security clearance at the right level.
