Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Cloud Engineer (AWS & Azure) to join our Corporate Technology team in Herndon, VA or on a remote basis.

Summary

Migrations. Must have proven experience with defining cloud migration methodologies on various platforms for cloud operations and sustainment.

Tools. Provides strategic direction, configuration, and implementation experience pertaining to the implementation of new tools, technologies, solutions and methodologies as aligned with ManTech operational and security goals.

Security. Has experience defining, assessing and implementing security standards across a wide variety of cloud platforms.

Governance. Experience defining, documenting and implementing governance approaches for all major cloud service providers.

Operations. Experience defining and documenting operational procedures for team members to execute to enterprise customers. Promote rolling out services through a written and presentations to diverse consumers.

Team Leadership. Provide management and mentor less experienced team members in defining outcomes, operational approach, procedures, and customer service standards. Measure and assess team members and provide guidance in areas for improvement.

Essential Responsibilities

• Configure and enhance best of breed technologies, methodologies and processes to meet ManTech mission goals.
• Use your past cloud experience and has a proven track record of defining, architecting and overseeing implementations of long-term enterprise-wide strategies that have resulted in enterprise scale changes to define best of breed technologies, methodologies and processes to meet ManTech mission goals.
• Soliciting, analyzing and evaluating ManTech and customer business requirements as they relate to architectural scenarios
• Architecting creative solutions to meet functional and non-functional requirements while meeting security guidelines
• Developing establishing best practice approaches for use DevOps tool sets at scale
• Assessing risk factors and limitations of current systems identifying areas of opportunity for improving security and operational performance
• Understanding AWS and Azure configuration capabilities to align with ManTech and government information security requirements
• Participate and engage in group evaluation of vendor products for analyzing best fit and function to meet strategic initiatives
• Support internal adoption of technologies through meetings and presentations with stakeholders
• Experience working with commercial off the shelf (COTs) vendors for issue resolution
• Ability to perform alternatives analysis and market research studies that provide data which aid in the selection of tools, technologies, solutions and methodologies
• Interpret, implement and adhere to ManTech and federal level technology standards, policies and directives
• Maintaining knowledge of current and emerging tools, technologies, solutions and methodologies
• Ability to provide expert level advice in AWS and Azure to diverse teams.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years experience operating and maintaining as a cloud broker capacity for both AWS and Azure;
• At least one technical certification in a public cloud environment
• Ability to pass additional public cloud certifications within 12 months of hire
• Prior hands-on experience as a systems engineer supporting enterprise infrastructure
• Thorough understanding of DevSecOps concepts, operational constructs and benefits

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of government security requirements for federal contractors such as CMMC, 800-171 or 800-53 and how to apply these to public cloud offerings
• Experience with the usage of DirectConnects and ExpressRoutes
• Amazon Machine Image (AMI) development
• DevOps implementation experience
• Cloud automation experience
• Script development for automating AWS and Azure
• ServiceNow integration experience for automating cloud account provisioning

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
• Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
• The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
• The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

The projected compensation range for this position is $146,300-$243,100. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
