Cloud Automation Architect
You will play a key role in shaping the future of disruptive digital innovation in the Restaurant industry. We are looking for a Cloud Automation Architect with expertise in creation of Automated solutions and proven automation scripting hands-on expertise combined with strong communication skills. This is a highly technical role that requires deep Automation frameworks knowledge. In this role, you will help to drive overall cloud automation strategy and will be working alongside sharp, like-minded automation specialists, software developers and solution architects. As a Automation Architect, you will lead, improve and enhance automation practices and tools selection by demonstrating innovative ideas while leading automation initiatives. You will proactively identify and implement automation strategies to improve reliability, stability and leveraging automation and service virtualization across all Real Time Payment workstreams wherever possible.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Automation and Development
- Establish and maintain automation tooling and standards
- Identify automation opportunities
- Lead efforts to codify automation
- Coordinate automated tasks across different technology domains Lead automation projects, POC's and new initiatives
- Responsible for creation of test automation framework on a program level using best practices and suitable automation tools stack
Consultation
- Collaborate with application managers to establish test standards, practices & toolsets across all levels of testing including Unit, Component, System, and Acceptance
- Collaborate with delivery partners to build solutions on testing, automation to achieve CI/CD
- Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance productivity and operational efficiency using automation, virtualization, and integration with CI/CD pipeline
- Partner with DevOps and Platform engineers to fully automate testing throughout the release & delivery processes in the CI/CD pipeline
- Meet with business and technology leads to understand objectives and map out testing automation requirements; prepare documentation on selected tools and established processes to allow maintaining a set of highly reusable automated test scripts and virtual services to be used for integration and regression testing on the program level
Thought Leadership
- Develop and champion the organizations automation strategy
- Champion automation efforts
- Help overcome cultural issues that inhibit automation
Mentoring
- Act as the coach and mentor to team members and technical staff on their assigned project tasks
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's in computer science, systems analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
- Master's degree in computer science, systems analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience preferred
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION
- 15+ years of experience spanning at least two IT disciplines, including technical architecture, application development, middleware, database management or operations
- 10+ years of support including experience in engineering skills experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Development background with strong programming skills is a plus
- Experience with Azure, AWS, and GCP implementations
- Knowledge of all components of a Technical Architecture
- Knowledge of business process re-engineering
- DevOps certifications will be a plus
- Experience with test automation and test management tools
- Strong understanding of network, Infra architecture and application development methodologies
- Strong understanding of SOA, Microservices, Object-oriented analysis and design
- Thorough understanding of DevOps and CI/CD
- Thorough understanding of GitLab
- Hands-on test automation experience in an Agile Development environment
- Hands-on experience specifying, establishing and managing test environments and test data for load and functional automation
- Knowledge of containers and virtualization
- Knowledge of mobile automation tools
- Knowledge of automated build management tools
- Demonstrated experience in defining and implementing several test automation solutions leveraging one or more of the following: Selenium, Cucumber, Appium, SoapUI, Postman, Protractor, JMeter, LoadRunner, VisualStudio, Load Test, Grinder, Gatling
- Programming languages (Python, Go, Shell, Ruby, Powershell,, etc.)
- Experience in Infrastructure management and automation technologies such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Datical, Azure DevOps
- Experience in monitoring tools such as New Relic
- Experience in Nosql technologies like Postgres, Cassandra, CouchDB, MongoDB, HBase will be a plus
- Experience in Retail, Travel/ Hospitality, Financial or Healthcare industry will be a plus
