The Client Virtualization Solutions Engineer (CVSE) will be the Technical lead for all Client Virtualization Team (CVT), Strategy workstreams. The CVSE will collaborate with the CVT manager, Business leaders and key stakeholders to drive the Collins Client Virtualization strategic roadmap forward. This role will also deliver Virtual / Technical solutions for our client computing environment in support of the business needs of the organization. This position is responsible for understanding and defining Virtual endpoint environments in alignment with enterprise architectural plans and strategies.

The CVSE must ensure that systems are deployed and maintained in a fully functional, reliable and compliant with all RTX policies .

This individual can work onsite at any Collins Aerospace domestic location or remote.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring Citrix and VDI environment's are fully functional, reliable and compliant with all RTX policies.
  • Responsible for life-cycle management of various Hardware / software resources and solutions
  • Resource planning
  • Provides inputs to policy makers regarding system standards, budget constraints and future needs planning.
  • Assists with analyzing vendor products, researching and staying current on industry trends.
  • Makes recommendations on appropriate hardware and/or software purchases and assists with coordinating the installation and rollout.
  • Tracks vendor performance to ensure contractual commitments are maintained.
  • Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget constraints.
  • Makes recommendations to ensure policies and standards for allocation of equipment and resources are developed and maintained.
  • Ensures the businesses needs are met with Virtual solutions.
  • Responsible for running sophisticated maintenance routines, advanced software upgrades and DR testing scenarios.
  • Mentors a technical team and provides technical guidance to the team
  • Strategic enabler and DT partner for the Collins Business
  • Identifies and documents business requirements for new or existing solutions
  • Responsible for the detailed design and compliance activities for new and existing virtual solutions
  • Leads the transition of support for pop up shadow IT solutions
  • Driving the maturity of automation in the Client Virtualization space to reduce operational efforts.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience OR
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years' experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required
  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder
