Client Engineering Manager
As a Client Engineering Manager, you’ll lead a customer-focused technical team in onboarding, loading, cleansing, and customizing data sets for internal and external stakeholders. This includes working hands-on with cloud-based big data pipelines, ELT tools, and platform services to integrate partner and site data into OM1’s data asset.
The Client Engineering (CE) team provides highly responsive onboarding and data delivery services for OM1’s Next-Generation Registry studies and custom data products. As Client Engineering manager, you will play a key role in leading and developing this mission critical team.
What You'll Do
- Integrate clinical data from partner sites, from initial ingestion through Electronic Data Capture (EDC) tool load. Deliver customized data sets to clients.
- Act as a player / coach (70% hands-on technical work) in configuring infrastructure, using ELT tools and platform services, and authoring data processing code.
- Develop, approve, and execute test scripts to ensure data quality.
- Work closely with the Client Services team to maintain excellent project and site communication, with evolving delivery schedules.
- Translate business requirements into epics and user stories.
- Coach and mentor team members on technical and Agile practices, and maintain a strong client-services mindset in a clinical environment.
What Experience You'll Bring
- Familiarity with modern data pipeline architecture, ELT practices, and data processing tools (e.g. DBT, Airbyte, FiveTran, Databricks, Spark, Airflow, etc.).
- Strong relational database knowledge with Snowflake, SQL Server, or similar.
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (EC2, S3) and configuration tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Experience writing code in Python, Java, or similar.
- Ability to build diverse teams and inclusive spaces that ensures all voices are heard and respected.
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills for technical resources.
- Great collaboration skills, especially with clinical experts and SMEs.
What Experience is Nice to Have
- Experience with clinical / healthcare data processing.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
