TSE CAE Engineer

Job Summary:

Our client in Allen Park is looking for a TSE CAE Engineer. This is a contract position.

What You Will Do:

  • Initiate meeting with supplier representative to scope project
  • Direct supplier to appropriate source of CAD data
  • Confirm that CAD data is representative of desired release level
  • Review all final CAD & Meshing for completeness
  • Review CFD models for consistency with Client standards
  • Provide boundary conditions and any other updates provided on a weekly basis
  • Collection of CAD data from the digital buck
  • Collection and confirmation of CAD data at client's site for heat transfer simulation
  • Cleanup of CAD surfaces as required
  • Generation of surface mesh according to established Client's Quality Criteria
  • All CAD and surface mesh files to be provided in electronic format and are subject to revision upon review
  • Based on the list of parts all the necessary geometry data will be collected from Client's Database System
  • Items to be modeled will fall under the discretion of the TSE activity and will be premised on vehicle package definition and violation of hear management zones as programs thru GPDS milestones
  • The geometry clean-up will be based on the detailed guidelines for the particular CFD simulation
  • Update any existing CAE model with high definition
  • Creation of conjugate heat transfer DOE and CFD models for use with CLUENT, CCM , PowerFLOW, UH3D, RadTherm, Flowmaster, and other related tools, including related software within the Client NIC infrastructure
  • The mesh generation and update of existing mesh will be based on vehicle packaging updates
  • Update of previous models, developed by to reflect new changes based on vehicle packaging updates
  • Calibrate baseline models and correlate with test data
  • Provide engineering assessment on the results of analysis to improve design thru GPDS Milestones
  • Airflow and Cooling assessment
  • Use CFD results to identify front end cooling pack and body sealing


What You Will Need:
