Job Summary

Amentum is currently seeking a C++ Application Programmerto support an IT Managed Services program for Sandia National Laboratories, Department of Energy. The overall program includes a 500+ work force performing Enterprise IT support, Service Desk, and Telecommunications support across multiple facilities and locations, for classified and unclassified telecommunications and information technology (IT) systems for National Technology and Engineering Solutions of Sandia (NTESS).

The Mission Solutions and Design department exists to work with internal/external customers to design, develop and deploy software systems to national security missions. To be successful in this role, you will have a wide range of programming languages including C/C++, Java, Python, and Javascript. In addition, you will have knowledge of distributed and parallel computing, as well as familiarity with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS, and platform-as-a-service technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

As a member of the team, you will:

• Design, develop and maintain C++ programs.
• Support application programming teams with C++.
• Develop and test various languages: Java, C++, JavaScript and Python.
• Maintain existing C++ programs.
• Participate in all status/team meetings.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must have a Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience OR an Associates Degree and 10 years of experience OR High School Diploma / GED and 14 years of experience.
• Must possess a TOP SECRET (TS) or DOE Q clearance and maintain it for the life of the contract.
• Knowledge and use of one or more programming languages is required.
• Experience of at least 5 years of C++ programming.
• Experience designing, delivering and maintaining medium level software development efforts for critical business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
