Blockchain Software Engineer
We are Mythical Games, a Venture-backed next-generation game technology company at the intersection of video games and economics led by industry veterans. Our goal is to lead the industry with the launch of exceptional video game experiences that leverage distributed ledger technology (DLT) while also providing a platform of robust tools that will allow any other game developers to do the same.
We are looking for a talented and driven Blockchain Engineer who will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining Mythical’s game platform offerings. This position is blockchain-focused, and a successful candidate will have an interest and understanding of some of the following.
Responsibilities:
- Byte serialization for various specifications
- Designing, maintaining, and deploying smart contracts
- Focus on security and best practices for contract development
- Configuring and deploying nodes in a network
- Reliable state management
- Developing higher-level APIs on top of blockchain primitives
- Interoperability
- Staying current with the latest blockchain developments
- Primarily elixir async backend systems to handle blockchain
Required Experience:
- BS or greater, preferably in a science or engineering discipline
- 3+ years of professional experience in software development
- Deep knowledge of Elixir, Rust, Solidity, C++, or JavaScript
- Hands-on engineering experience and expertise in one or more of the following blockchain technologies: Ethereum or EOS
- Experience developing for a multi-tenant cloud environment (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience designing and developing for large, horizontally scalable, high-transaction volume systems
- Self-driven: able to innovate, plan, & execute with autonomy
