You are:
A passionate and curious Backend Engineer with 5+ years of experience. You're a team player who can reason and communicate your opinions, as well as accept others' approaches and you always strive to understand why things are done the way they are. You have working knowledge of highly scalable and fault tolerant client/server architecture building and maintaining server/back-end architecture for mobile or PC platforms. You're a clean coder with readable, simple, and maintainable code who can recognize bad code and continuously search for better solutions. You have experience in API development (RESTful) and excellent understanding of database systems. You know software engineering best practices (testing, code reviews, immutability, etc) and are aware of bad practices and anti-patterns. You also have experience with all phases of product development lifecycle, including requirements definition, specifications, development, test, product release, and sustaining engineering.
You can work independently in a fast paced environment and collaborate with global teams. You'll get bonus points if you've worked on large-scale B2C products and if you're highly familiar with TDD, continuous integration and automated testing.
As a Backend Engineer you will:

• Work with a growing team of restaurant tech industry experts focused on POS, payments, loyalty, and integrations
• Contribute to our product roadmap by staying on top of the latest technologies and trends in the restaurant and hospitality industry
• Work independently with Product Managers and Designers and solve complex challenges through collaboration with a global team
• Work with our unique scalable engineering architecture, allowing many developers to work on a single app without compromising dev-velocity and quality
• Speak with business owners to understand their needs
• Push your code to millions of users every day and impact businesses
• Solve hard problems in a simple way using TDD and clean code
