Backend Engineer 2 - Marketplace Investments
About the role:
Collaborates with stakeholders within the team to build and maintain backend services and solutions to support user-facing products, downstream services, or infrastructure tools and platforms used across Uber.
About the Team:
Marketplace Investments team builds the platform for planning and optimizing incentive budgets at Uber. Our platform also automates Driver offer generation algorithms. We seek to be at the center of marketplace spend, and your work will have a large impact at Uber. The combination of technical challenges and cross-functional work will allow you to grow as a software engineer in any dimension.
You will build and improve Machine Learning predictive models to make better budget allocation decisions. You will implement vital pieces of our platform that help onboard new offer generation levers seamlessly. You will collaborate closely with Product partners and have an opportunity to shape the future of incentive budgeting at Uber.

Minimum qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field OR 1-year full-time Software Engineering work experience, WHICH INCLUDES 1-year total technical software engineering experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Programming language (e.g. C, C++, Java, Python, or Go)
• Note the 1-year total of specialized software engineering experience may have been gained through education and full-time work experience, additional training, coursework, research, or similar (OR some combination of these). The year of specialized experience is not necessarily in addition to the years of Education & full-time work experience indicated.
