The Platform Solutions Architect is responsible foridentifying and implementing solutions to advance Orions application modernization initiative. As a Platform Solutions Architect, you willbe a technical leader in establishing patterns and practices forcloud readiness,automation, testability, observability, and application security of Orion products. This role will require you to collaborate withkeystakeholders includingApplicationDevelopment,Product, QA, SRE, DevOps,andApplication Security.

This role will be keenly aware of cloud computing developmentand industry-standard application problem-solvingtrends.

Essential Functions of the Job

• Utilize industry best practices and patterns to design and implement software solutions that arescalable, testable, reliable, and resilient.
• Create reusable patterns and practices for increasing the observability,reliability, andtestabilityof Orion software solutions.
• Identify and implement solutions forapplication modernization.
• Support security vulnerability remediationefforts.
• Work side by side with architects, application development, SRE, security, andcloudplatform teammates to ensure solutions are released in a sound and responsible way.

Skills Needed to Perform the Job

• Strong knowledge and experience with Agile methodologies, SCRUM preferred.
• Stronglevel knowledge of industry standard patterns and practices to solve software development problems.
• Expert level experience with git source control and branching strategies.
• Experience with modern development and testing techniques such as CI/CD.
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining careful attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both individually and within a team environment.
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines and address competing priorities.
• Proficient skills with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Effective written, listening, and verbal communication skills.
• Effective problem solving and organizational skills.

Education Needed to Perform the Job

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, or related field, required.
• Orion Industry Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.

Experience Needed to Perform the Job

• Minimum of 8 years in software development required, .NET preferred.
• AWS Certified Developer Associate or higher preferred.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or higher preferred.
