Autonomy Engineer - Simulation (Unreal Engine)

About the role:
As a member of the Autonomy team at Skydio, you will be responsible for building scalable data systems that enable our deep learning and computer vision models to solve various semantic and geometric tasks. You will be working closely with a world class team of talented engineers and researchers who have pushed the state-of-the-art in academia and industry.
How you'll make an impact:
Create realistic virtual worlds using state-of-the-art engines such as Unreal Engine
Close the gap between the real world and synthetic worlds through augmentation and distribution analysis
Design and implement scalable synthetic data creation pipelines
Work with other autonomy team members to address product needs
What makes you a good fit:
Extensive experience with modern game engines (e.g. Unreal Engine, Unity)
Excellent knowledge of C++
Excellent knowledge of 3D geometry
Experience with Linux
Experience in setting up container-based environments (e.g. Docker)
Basic knowledge of computer vision
Familiarity with Python
