Position: Autonomous Driving R&D Engineer
Job Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Duties: Draw on experience gained through writing software to interface with sensors used in autonomous driving and developing Qt-based, 3D Graphics intensive applications for one or more of these areas: Simulations, Visualization, Virtual Reality, good understanding of 3D modeling, rendering, scene graphs, high performance graphics, mathematics behind 3D visualization, robotics navigation, sensor systems, how to design, implement, test and extend high quality software products, ability to specify system components and analyze existing artifacts, and skills of Qt, OpenGL, C++, Linux software development and Git for version control to design and develop 3D visualization applications. Work closely with various software and R&D teams to come up with custom and standard solutions to improve visualizations. Work with a team of Autonomy Software Engineers to develop tools for SAE Level-4/5 autonomous driving service development. Create software that will enable the next generation of Autonomous Mobility Platforms. Work in a test-driven Scrum-Agile software development environment. Support the full software development life cycle including in-car testing of the tools.
Requirements: Master’s degree in computer science, electronic engineering or a closely related field plus 1 year of experience reflecting demonstrable ability in the skill set described above. Alternately, the Employer will accept a bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of experience.
