The Challenge:

When a user tries a new system, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful information systems - and that means rigorous testing. That's why we need you, a Quality Assurance Specialist who's eager to help thoroughly test software and ensure that our team releases the best system possible.

As a quality assurance consultant on our team, you'll work with analysts, testers, developers, and engineers that evaluates developed systems for the Veterans Health Administration. You'll help develop and implement a test plan based on requirements, functional and non-functional specifications, and design specifications.

Using software quality assurance, you'll generate problem resolutions and track quality assurance standards to see how the system performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the tool. You'll build your experience in various types of testing, including manual, automation, and testing process improvement. This is an opportunity to broaden your skills in documenting and solving system deficiencies as well as leading and mentoring others and estimating testing efforts. You Have:

  • Experience with automation testing
  • Knowledge of Java, manual testing techniques for business process driven software
  • Ability to develop test cases and scripts using Selenium
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with VA Health systems
  • Knowledge of MUMPS or VistA software and deployment

Applicants selected may be subject to a government investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client.

Compensation:

The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is $90,000 to $110,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
