The Development Manager has responsibility for management of the people and process to update the audit tools used by Audit Client, with primary focus on Audit Methodology Workpaper development. This role will oversee and manage the team that develops the forms, templates, workaids, etc. supporting the Audit practice in the US and across our global network working with project managers, product managers and stakeholders as needed.

Essential Duties:
- Oversee the update and maintenance of existing audit tools and the creation or integration of new audit tools.
- Manage content and technology specialists, supervising their work and preparing evaluations.
- Serve as technical specialist of complex forms, code, workflows and functionality.
- Identify and design process & efficiency improvement initiatives such as automation or innovation within the software development lifecycle.
- Understand the workflow and capabilities of the software tools used to maintain the audit practice, along with user needs& requirements, in order to identify risk and appropriate responses.
- Coordinate with other departments and lines of business within RSM US and with other RSM International member firms.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Accounting or equivalent degree/work history/experience (required).
TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS
- Understand software design, development & architecture (required)
- Ability to communicate both verbally and written with diverse audiences (required)
- Effective organization and time management skills (required)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks (required)
- Strong attention to detail (required)
- Ability to analyze input received and work with others to provide solutions that meet quality and efficiency requirements for end users (required)
EXPERIENCE
- 4+ years professional experience in software design, development or implementation (required)
- Current or recent experience in a public accounting or professional services environment (preferred)
- Experience using and implementing software platforms, including inclination for understanding of the functionality and capability of various platforms and software programs (required)
LEADERSHIP SKILLS
- Experience managing software engineers or developers (required)
