We are looking for an excited and talented front-end engineer to join our growing team. You are the right fit if you enjoy problem solving, learning in a fast-paced environment, and are passionate for writing quality client-side code.
In this role, you will be working with a full stack Agile team of JavaScript developers, building applications that are deployed to the cloud. You will get to know many technologies including React, Redux, styled-components, Node, Express, GraphQL, and many more. These technologies are used to develop highly available, scalable web applications that support the future of our client and planning experiences for Northwestern Mutual.

  • Quick learner - take ownership of the outlined goals
  • Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision, yet actively interact with other team members in person or over the Internet.
  • Bring new ideas to the team with strong problem solving skills.
  • Ability to explain technical solutions to technical teams and non-technical teams.
  • Work collaboratively on creative solutions with engineers, product managers, and designers


Preferred Skills:

  • Javascript ES6
  • React and Redux
  • Sass / styled-components
  • Node and Express
  • Good understanding of Git and source code management
