The Opportunity
DAT is looking for an Associate Software Engineer to join our team in Beaverton, OR or Denver, CO.
We’re looking for an Associate Software Engineer that is passionate about building great customer-facing software. You will be working in a full stack TypeScript ecosystem (Node/Angular) to develop code that is reliable, maintainable, and scalable.
In this role you will tackle a variety of stories, from building microservices to creating compelling user experiences on top of the latest web technologies. You will be part of a team that designs, develops, tests, and delivers solutions through our CI/CD environments and deploy solutions to our customers hosted on AWS.

What You’ll Do
- Design and develop reliable, scalable, and maintainable software solutions
- Participate in design/code reviews
- Develop expertise in TypeScript, AWS solutions, and REST APIs
- Write unit, integration, and functional tests, and guide others in doing the same
- Work with team members to improve development processes and practices
- Document software designs and project tasks
- Review functional requirements and analyze their impact on schedule and software design
- Translate business needs and requirements into technical specifications
The Skills and Experience You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, full stack boot camp certification, or equivalent experience
- Experience using modern server frameworks (ideally Node.js) to build microservices and/or REST APIs
- Experience using web UI frameworks such as Typescript, React or Angular to build web UI’s
- Experience with Scrum/Agile SDLC
- Outstanding interpersonal, written communication skills
- Ideal candidates will also have:
- Exposure to developing using containers (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Exposure to build and deployment in AWS, Azure, GCP
- Experience with client and server unit testing
In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the minimum salary for this role is $77,000.00 + benefits. The maximum compensation for this role can vary significantly depending on your job-related skills and experience. DAT considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education and training, core skills, internal equity, and market and business elements when extending an offer.
