The Associate Site Reliability Engineer (aSRE) is a role within Cohesity's Customer Support organization. The position is based in our local support center, where you will have the opportunity to be part of a fast paced, highly collaborative team environment, learning from a top performing group of talented Cohesity support engineers.  The ultimate outcome is to gain the skills and technical proficiency of a qualified SRE and ensure Cohesity customers receive the highest level of support possible. We are looking for passionate people who possess deep technical expertise as well as excellent communication and customer service skills to join our team!


Your Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Global support team, Cohesity engineering, and account management teams
  • Provide the best experience possible for Cohesity Support customers, both internal and external
  • Support Cohesity customers with case opening processes, initial problem assessment and documentation, and routing to appropriate technical resource
  • Record customer interactions, including investigation, troubleshooting, and the resolution of issues


Your Growth Opportunities

  • Actively participate in Mentor/Mentee program to develop solid knowledge of Cohesity product portfolio, support processes, and customer experience expectation
  • Become proficient on Cohesity products and tools to, with guidance from tenured SRE’s and Sr SRE’s, investigate and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Ability to learn and apply solution knowledge to analyze and clearly articulate found issues and recommended actions to the customer


What's Required

  • You have hands-on knowledge of Linux commands and Virtualization
  • You have basic knowledge of networking, or database administration, or cloud (from classroom/education, apprenticeships, internships, or self-taught course work)
  • You have a natural knack for verbal and written communication; you are clear in your delivery and thorough with your details
  • Your collaboration and organizational skills make it easy for you to prioritize and multitask without missing deadlines
  • You have a natural curiosity for technology; you seek to understand how things work or why they don’t
  • You have extraordinarily strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • You bring a positive can-do attitude to your day; stay humble, be open to learning, laugh, have fun
  • This is a Federal government role requiring US citizenship
