Associate Quality Engineer
We are looking for an Associate Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality.
Associate QA engineer responsibilities include learning how to design and implement automation and manual tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions. You will also learn how to review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts). You will be encouraged to gain an understanding of QA processes. In addition, you will acquire skills in functional testing(FE, BE, and API) and non-functional testing.
This role plays an important part in our company’s product development process. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for participating in conducting automated and manual tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets the company's needs while being cost-effective. If you hold an engineering background and enjoy providing end-to-end solutions to software quality problems, we’d like to meet you.
Ultimately, you will be participating in monitoring all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Learn how to review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Learn how to independently analyze, solve, and correct some issues in real-time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
- Learn how to create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases (TestRail)
- Learn how to Estimate, prioritize, and plan testing activities
- Learn how to Design, develop non-complex algorithms and execute automation scripts using open source tools ( Visual Studios, C#, Selenium webdriver )
- Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs (Jira)
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Liaise with internal & external teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
- Deliver feedback and reports to the team and actively participate in Scrum activities
Requirements:
- Hunger to learn the software QA methodologies and processes
- Basic knowledge of SQL and scripting is nice to have
- Some knowledge of API testing and tools is nice to have
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related IT certifications, or 2 years of coding experience.
- Must be proficient in writing and communicating in English
