Job Description

Community Health Systems is a leading operator of general acute care hospitals and outpatient care centers in communities across the United States. CHS affiliates own, lease or operate 83 affiliated hospitals in 16 states with an aggregate of approximately 13,000 licensed beds. Healthcare services are also provided in more than 1,000 outpatient sites of care including affiliated physician practices, urgent care centers, freestanding emergency departments, imaging centers, cancer centers, and ambulatory surgery centers.

CHSPSC, LLC seeks a Associate Engineer for its Franklin, TN, headquarters' Technology / Infrastructureteam.

Summary:

The Associate Network Engineer is an entry level network engineer position. They are expected to learn from the more senior engineers, and put those skills into practice. The Associate Network Engineer performs or assists more senior engineers on project tasks as needed. There is also an expectation that the associate engineer is studying to advance their career.

Platforms may include, but are not limited to, Cisco ACS, Cisco IOS, Cisco Nexus, Cisco Catalyst, Cisco ASA firewalls, Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco WLC, Cisco Access Points.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1.

Resolve client issues and restore system errors as needed.

2.

Maintain a ticket queue, and resolve assigned tickets.

3.

Work with more senior engineers to help solve issues in order to add to your personal skill set.

4.

Maintain detailed documentation on assigned project tasks.

5.

Assist or perform project tasks as assigned by more senior engineers or team leadership.

6.

Perform network audits and assessments

7.

Use diagnostic tools to diagnose and optimize the network as necessary.

8.

Documentation of systems, procedures, and processes

9.
Communication with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress,
notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages.
10.
Perform other duties as assigned by team leadership.

Qualifications

Required Education:

High School

Preferred Education:

Associates Degree or better Cisco Certifications Preferred

Required Experience:

2+ years experience in networking or telecom related field or equivalent certification.

Preferred Experience:

2+ years experience in networking or telecom related field and equivalent certification.

Required License/Registration/Certification:

Cisco CCENT

Preferred License/Registration/Certification:

Cisco CCNA

Computer Skills Required:

Basic Windows or Linux.
