The focus of this team is to provide next-generation capabilities to Boeing and its customers through the development of cutting edge sensor systems, and the key technologies that enable those systems. Systems range from airborne EO/IR systems to space payloads. The team is focused on providing complete solutions, including systems engineering, optics design, algorithms, software development, firmware development, and electronics. As part of BR&T, the primary focus is on prototype systems and demonstrations, so we're looking for people who like to try new things, and aren't afraid of a challenge!We are seeking electrical engineers to join our team in Huntington Beach, CA to help us develop our next generation of electronics from conceptual design through operational prototypes on multiple programs. Responsibilities include analog and digital circuit design, circuit card design, payload electrical design, and hardware testing.Position Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end design of electronics, including analog, digital, and power circuits, circuit card design, and parts selection and evaluation
  • Analysis of customer and system requirements and development of architectural approaches and detailed specifications for various electronic products
  • Creation and execution of test plans at the card, unit, and payload levels
  • Reviews of testing and analysis activity to assure compliance to requirements
  • Identifies, tracks and statuses technical performance measures to measure progress and ensure compliance with requirements
  • Coordinates engineering support throughout the lifecycle of the product
  • Plans and leads research projects to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Confidential Clearance Post-Start is requiredBasic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • 2+ years of Electrical Engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Active security clearance
  • Experience with electrical design for sensor systems
  • Experience with design and test of avionics hardware
  • Experience with either digital or analog circuit design

Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation: Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
