Associate Director, Enterprise Cloud Engineering

The Associate Director of Enterprise Cloud Engineering will report to the Senior Director IoT, Cloud, and Software Engineering, and Technology

The right candidate will have relevant experience with technical program management and be able to demonstrate leadership, along with organizational skills in leading cross functional teams and programs to deliver successful outcomes. In addition, the right candidate will demonstrate the ability to drive business strategy sense and have product intuition to fully integrate with development teams and contribute at any level of depth. Analytical and communication skills along with the ability to navigate ambiguity are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive accountability regarding project & program milestones, key initiatives, and project success criteria.
  • Own technical programs from inception to delivery.
  • Build expertise around subject matter in order to articulate technical details and requirements to various teams involved.
  • Be able to work with business to understand their needs to help prioritize product features and development.
  • Define metrics and indicators on program health.
  • Work with Engineers to build strategy and long-term plan on how to execute the strategy.
  • Experience working autonomously in a fast paced, high-growth, and results orientated environment that demands excellence
  • Strong ability to navigate through ambiguity and solve complex problems.
  • Make data informed decisions to steer the program and strategy.
  • Lead planning, execution and on-time delivery of cross-functional initiatives.
  • Partner with Program Leadership on project execution and team efficiency.
  • Drive quarterly roadmap and resource planning activities and deliverables.
  • Create a collaborative work environment that fosters autonomy, transparency, mastery, innovation, and learning.
  • Contributing ideas to product development initiatives.
  • Planning and managing product development stages.
  • Collaborating with system engineers and software architects.
  • Ensuring that products and services are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
  • Evaluating product performance metrics and facilitating adjustments.
  • Keeping up with advancements in product technologies.



Required Experience/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer sciences, software engineering, technology management, business management, or similar.
  • 10+ years of experience in technical program management, preferably in a related industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of the full life cycle of product development & program management.
  • Experience in product development planning and providing leadership.
  • Ability to collaborate with IT engineers and report to executive leadership.
  • Extensive experience in software product engineering, deployment, and integration.
  • Ability to evaluate product performance metrics, as well as diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Advanced proficiency in programming languages and coding, such as Python or JavaScript.
  • Ability to keep up with advancements in the field of technical product development.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exemplary people, organizational, project management, and escalation skills.
  • Able to work under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines.



Preferred Qualification:

Exposure to large migrations or implementations

  • Familiarity with Streaming, Search or Storage technologies
  • CSM, Agile or Six Sigma Certification
  • Ability to succeed in a highly collaborative team environment with multiple in-flight initiatives and stakeholders
  • Outstanding leadership, facilitation and problem-solving skills. Ability to effectively collaborate and influence at all levels of the organization
  • Strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities
  • Experience with Product focused Program Management.
  • Ability to Implement critical initiatives for the organization
