Purpose:

This position will be responsible for developing and governing the technical platform and operations strategy to improve platform availability, scalability, security and developer efficiency across the Supply Chain, Customer Order Management and Inventory systems. This role will develop design documentation, standards, procedures, controls and policies, and will work closely with various departments to design solutions & integration strategy while ensuring that the company meets industry best practices.

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with leading development teams building/enhancing features
  • Experience with Java/JEE Frameworks/Technologies (Spring, Hibernate, JMS, JPA)
  • Experience with deploying/monitoring in cloud environments (Azure/AWS/GCP)
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker / Kubernetes)
  • Front end and back end Web development HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, React AJAX for front end
  • Experience with Integration/ETL Platforms (Data Stage, Talend)
  • Mobile / Web Javascript frameworks experience (angular, react, backbone and phone gap or equivalent a plus)
  • Experience writing efficient SQL (MS SQL, PostgreSQL, DB2)
  • Issue and project tracking (JIRA, MS Project)
  • Ability to convey technical specifications in a business-friendly manner
  • Experience in Supply Chain / Omni channel IT systems is preferred. Experience in Manhattan Associates or similar software products are an added advantage.



Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar field of study (relevant experience can be substituted for the required education on the basis of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education)
  • 5+ years of experience in building and maintaining technical standards and design documentation
  • 7+ years of development experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company
  • 3+ years of experience with cloud and container platform services (Azure/GCP/AWS, Kubernetes) to include platform design, provisioning and operational metrics
  • Experience with database platforms (Oracle, SQL Server) and software development (Java, Node.js)
  • Experience in a retail or supply chain or similar environment with project execution & delivery and technical design experience
  • Leadership skills to navigate project execution through all phases of the standard software development lifecycle
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and data analysis skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Must be detail-oriented, highly organized and results driven
  • Possess excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment



Essential Job Functions:

  • Thorough understanding and ability to clearly communicate the technical platform strategy
  • Mentorship of other associates responsible for service delivery and platform support
  • Leadership in formulating strategy and design of cloud and infrastructure platforms, integration platforms, CI/CD pipelines, operational dashboards
  • Ownership and delivery of an automation strategy to include product selection, design and oversight of provisioning, definition of success criteria and metrics collection
  • Roadmap delivery of critical process improvements tied to service delivery and operations
  • Guidance of technical stakeholders to improve knowledge of technical standards, reference architectures and processes/policies to improve consistency and efficiency of IT delivery
  • Strong awareness of current and emerging technologies and optimal implementation standards
  • Evaluation, design and implementation of tools and products to provide rapid delivery of infrastructure through automated processes
  • Ownership of relevant standard operating procedures and technical documentation
  • Design and implementation of software delivery pipelines and processes
  • Effective communication of the technical strategy to product managers, business partners, internal peers, and senior management.
  • Collaboration with Product Management team and business stakeholder teams to gather requirements for service delivery
  • Prioritization of multiple projects and tasks across different business units
  • Leading, motivating, and organize technical teams
  • Ensure IT systems and applications meet the requirements of the business
  • Work in a Agile Methodology environment to build solutions and guide the team to achieving Sprint goals, technical refinements etc.
  • Responsible for architecting solutions for projects for Supply Chain, Customer Order Management solutions
  • Ensure delivery of solutions for customer/associate facing products
  • Provide leadership and subject matter expertise in evaluation, design, planning, and deployment of emerging solutions to drive exceptional experiences and increased productivity and growth
  • Conduct monthly project performance reviews; develop, monitor, optimize and provide corrective action plans as required
  • Partner with IT functional and business leaders to establish lifecycle governance of technology in conjunction with application roadmaps
  • Responsible for the full software development lifecycle of projects including design, development, unit testing, system testing and deployment
  • Build out and grow high functioning teams capable of delivering outstanding solutions for F&D



PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS

Sedentary Work - Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
