Our security team defends the products, data and systems that power Chainalysis. We are committed to building a diverse team of builders, breakers and shapers to address complex security problems in a novel, exciting space.

The Application Security Engineer will play a pivotal role in maturing our application security strategy.. We measure success by (key outcomes, metrics, etc.).

In one year you’ll know you were successful if…

  • Create and Deliver Application Security training to our development teams
  • Implement Application Security Testing in our CI/CD pipeline 
  • Performs static/dynamic code testing, manual code inspection, threat modeling, design reviews and penetration testing of our SAAS application.

A background like this helps: 

  •  3+ years of application security experience
  •  Automation of Security testing in the CI/CD pipeline
  •  Experience in identifying and remediating common web application vulnerabilities such as OWASP Top 10.
  • Familiarity with APT attack and kill chains.

    • International travel will only be permitted if you receive approval from both your manager and Executive Leader

How does your team reward individual success?

What does your typical day look like?

We start with a daily standup meeting that allows us to catch up with our teammates around the world. Then, it's mostly coding/analysis time. My work involves finding new sources of data and utilizing it to produce insights for our customers. We have flexibility to work remotely, that helps me balance on both home/work front and feel successful.
