The Software Engineer will have a hands-on role, leading the strategic direction and build-out of Collibra’s SaaS systems portfolio to maximize productivity, scale business operations, and put business intelligence into the hands of Collibrians to make improved business decisions.  He or she will have the opportunity to partner with Collibra’s business owners to translate business objectives into technical specifications that manifest into scalable solutions.  Our team will be using the latest automation tools to connect and streamline our SaaS technology to improve the experience for everyone at Collibra.

IT Software Engineers at Collibra are responsible for:

  • Perform design, development, testing, debugging, and implementation of cloud-based applications in a fast paced environment. 
  • Build and deploy Saas systems automations, integrations, and architecture to scale and enhance an end-to-end Saas ecosystem. 
  • Partner with Sales and Business operation teams to optimize Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday, ServiceNow, and many other Saas platforms and best-of-breed technologies.
  • Partner with our Data Office to implement our Enterprise Data strategy, including building our data warehouses and driving analytics back to the users to use in their day-to-day lives.
  • Partner with InfoSec to execute IT solutions in line with security policies and collaborate on new technology implementations Partner with IT Support for Level 2 issue escalation and assistance.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of software engineer experience with 3 years of hands-on experience using iPaaS such as Workato, Boomi, or Mulesoft
  • Experience with cloud-based, Saas applications such as Salesforce, NetSuite, FinancialForce, Workday, Gainsight, Zendesk, Marketo.
  • Technical background in application integration tools and native APIs to enable workflows and data feeds between SaaS platforms
  • Experience in Business Intelligence/Data Analytics with ability to architect an enterprise data management solution while leveraging company-wide use of Tableau and ETL tools.
  • Experience programming in Javascript, Ruby, Go, Python, or Java.
  • A business-first approach to building integrations, systems, and applications. You care about the business impact of your technical work.

Reporting to Collibra’s Enterprise Architect, the Software Engineer’s measures of success are:

  • Within your first month, you will understand Collibra’s application portfolio, team priorities/initiatives, and meet with business stakeholders. You’ll also meet and align with the data analytics and business technology teams to understand business goals and direction. 
  • Within your third month, you will partner with Collibra’s business stakeholders to collect requirements around architecting and building automations and integrations between Salesforce and NetSuite in collaboration with Collibra’s Enterprise Architect.
  • Within your sixth month, you will have delivered and iterated on your design for Salesforce and NetSuite automations.  You will have built a model for monitoring these automations while working with our Data Office to design and build out the first workflows to support our Enterprise Data strategy.
