The Engineer Sr Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for a variety of engineering activities including the design, acquisition and development of hardware, software and network infrastructure in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to ensure quality standards are being met within existing and planned frameworks.

Responsibilities:

  • Impact the engineering function by influencing decisions through advice, counsel or facilitating services and hands-on Development
  • Serve as a technology subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders and provide direction for all firm mandated controls and compliance initiatives, all projects within the group and in creating a technology domain roadmap
  • Define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process enhancements
  • Recommend product customization for system integration
  • Work directly with clients/partner application teams to drive rollout of tools, educate teams, and assist with adoption
  • Identify problem causality, business impact and root causes
  • Exhibit knowledge of how own specialty area contributes to the business and apply knowledge of competitors, products and services
  • Advise or mentor junior team members



Knowledge/Experience:

  • Must have Extensive experience in Apigee Edge API Management Platform
    • In implementing REST API, SOAP APIs, Plans, Security Policies.
    • Apigee Edge Gateway Service, Management Service , Analytical Services
  • Support Engineer efforts to support implementation of Apigee Ede API Management in Citi Globally
  • Experience in IBM API Connect is a plus
  • Manage day-to-day system development and maintenance activities for Apigee Edge API Management and Datapower deployment in global regions.
  • Must have knowledge in Load balancers, firewalls, DMZ and other network concepts related Datapower
  • Must have experience in implementing Gateway Scripts, SLM.
  • Strong knowledge of full software development, testing, deployment and operational lifecycle
  • Experience of developing and supporting scalable products for a large user base
  • Must have development knowledge in REST and SOAP based APIs.
  • Must have experience in developing XSLT, XML and XQuery.
  • Must have expertise in Scripting languages like JavaScript, Perl, Unix, etc.
  • Must have experience in version control systems like SVN or Git.
  • Experience in Agile tools like JIRA or RTC,
  • Expertise in implementing cryptography technologies like Encryption, Decryption, Digital Signature.
  • Must have experience in OAuth2.0, SAML and SSO.
  • Working knowledge of multiple API platforms like apigee, Kong, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Cloud platform is a plus



Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in an Engineering/Developer role
  • Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment
  • Experience on IBM WebSphere Datapower Integration Appliances XI52, IDG (Firmware Version: >2018) is a plus
  • Project Management experience
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting to identify best practices
  • Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Proven track record of operational process change and improvement



Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred
