Who you are:

As an API Integration Engineer, you will work with a team of developers to design and implement the responsive and scalable cloud-based services that power our award-winning mobile experiences. You will work with subject matter experts to model and implement efficient business systems by researching and suggesting technical solutions that fit the client's requirements.


Must be located in the USA.


What you will do:

  • Create API design together with API development teams
  • Enforce API specification standards
  • Review detailed designs to ensure appropriate security, scalability and reliability
  • Enhance and manage the API test tools to ensure that the solution conforms to strategic architecture
  • Assist the project team with any tech issues related to API design, performance and gateway
  • Write code and design systems using API Design best practices
  • Work with other developers to design, develop, test, implement and support API applications

What you bring to the position:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum 6 years' of hands-on software development delivering applications through the entire SDLC process
  • Minimum 3 years' experience developing backend systems with JVM languages
  • Minimum 3 years' experience delivering microservices and RESTful designs
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with APIs in consumer-facing mobile applications or websites
  • Experience implementing and using API Gateways such as MuleSoft, Azure API Gateway, Apigee, or AWS API Gateway
  • Experience with AWS or Google Cloud
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Jira, GitHub and Release Management
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies and Agile development tools such as JIRA

Bonus Points:

  • Professional Kotlin or Serverless development experience
  • Experience developing projects using API-first approach
  • MuleSoft development experience
  • Open-source contributions
  • Active in local meetups, tech blogs and tech community
  • Node.js experience
