Job Description
We are looking for an Android Engineer to join our software engineering team. The Tovala Android app is the main touch point for our Android customers, allowing users to connect their oven to the internet, order meals, cook recipes and more. As an Android engineer on the software team you will work closely with our designers, backend engineers, and other mobile app developers to create and maintain features users love. Our Android application is 100% Kotlin and we are in the process of implementing MVVM with Jetpack Compose across the application.
About the role
- Collaborate with design, iOS, and backend teams to build new features.
- Monitor the application and diagnose and fix issues as they arise.
- Refactor old code to modern architecture.
- Write code in a testable way, testing all new features.

Requirements
- 3+ years building Android Applications.
- You have demonstrated experience with Kotlin and coroutines.
- You have demonstrated experience with modern Android development and the Jetpack suite.
- You have experience with source control.
- You have experience working with REST APIs.
