Digital payments are fundamental to the Uber experience, but many riders around the world don't share the same experience and have to pay with physical cash.
The mission of the Finprod team is to enable financial products for both earners and spenders. The Finprod team is responsible for powering Debit cards for Earners, Uber Cash, Gift Cards for spenders. In doing so, we're also building products that offer convenience and simplicity for Uber and its partners to enable programs that fuel Uber's growth and brand loyalty.
On this team, we build new products and services that will interface with the entire Uber platform, including Rides, Eats, and even Grocery Delivery. We ship on a global scale and pursue strategic initiatives in various markets to empower Uber's business.
As a Software Engineer II on the Finprod team, you will closely collaborate with product, design, and business teams to understand product ideas and business needs and help deliver these as a series of fast experiments. You'll implement native user interfaces with the latest Android techniques and will drive adoption of best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability. You will play an active role in the team's technical design choices, code reviews, and documentation and will coach and mentor new engineers joining the Financial Products team.
Minimum qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field OR 1-year full-time Software Engineering work experience, WHICH INCLUDES 1-year total technical software engineering experience in one or more of the following areas:• Android Development• Android java, or Android Kotlin• Note the 1-year total of specialized software engineering experience may have been gained through education and full-time work experience, additional training, coursework, research, or similar (OR some combination of these). The year of specialized experience is not necessarily in addition to the years of Education & full-time work experience indicated.

For Colorado-based roles: The salary/hourly rate range for this role is $123,930 per year - $137,700 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award, commissions, & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
