Airport Engineer - Mid LevelCompany:The Boeing CompanyJob ID:00000282106Date Posted:2021-11-30-08:00Location:USA - Seal Beach, CAJob Description Qualifications: Boeing Commercial Airplanes is hiring Airport Engineer ( Level 3) to support BCA team in Seal Beach, California.This position is expected to be majority onsite with some limited telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Seal Beach, CA .Position Responsibilities:

• Compares airplane configurations with airport operations and infrastructure worldwide to identify incompatible airplane or airport features.
• Analyzes and documents airport infrastructure and makes recommendations for airport modifications and upgrades.
• Conducts trade studies of airplane design characteristics and provides recommendations on configuration changes.
• Participates in airport-related conferences, groups and industry meetings to disseminate airplane product development trends and effect regulatory and infrastructure changes.
• Performs on-site tests to validate pavement roughness and strength and provides recommendations. Works under general direction.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 2+ years of experience Airport operations / infrastructure analysis.
• 2+ years of experience with Computer Aided Design.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Experience in Airport Planning & Design, Civil Engineering .
• Experience in building positive relationships, collaborating effectively and communicating clearly.
• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate.
• Fluency in Chinese.

Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience).
