The AirPlay Playback team is responsible for all things AirPlay Video. Have you ever flung a video you're watching on your iPhone to an AppleTV? That's us! We're continuously pushing the boundaries of our beloved experience of streaming experience, beyond AppleTVs to a vast ecosystem of AirPlay-enabled televisions. We're looking for a proactive, creative and hardworking engineer to join our team, somebody who can help take these technologies to new and unexplored heights.

Key Qualifications
Strong programming skills with C and/or C++
Experience with media system playback design
Experience debugging problems in a highly concurrent environment
Experience with using and developing media libraries especially for mobile platforms
Experience with media transport controls over a network

Description
The Connected Media group is looking for a senior software engineer to join our team to work on AirPlay. We are looking for expert developers that have debugged complex and layered software stacks. You will be curious, self-motivated, and thorough when they approach new challenges. As an engineer on our team you will be responsible for crafting and implementing new features in AirPlay across our product lines. You will be able to collaborate effectively on a team, and thrives in a dynamic, highly fluid environment.

Education & Experience
B.S or M.S in EE/CE/CS with a strong focus in software engineering

Additional Requirements

• Desired but not required:
• Experience in developing and maintaining an API for multiple clients
• Experience programming on embedded systems
• Experience with using and developing media libraries especially for mobile platforms
• Excellent communication and reciprocal skills
• Familiarity with inner workings of media systems and audio/video codecs
• Familiarity with network media streaming protocols such as RTP and RTSP
• Familiarity with the TCP/IP suite of protocols
• An Upbeat, adaptable, and results oriented with a positive attitude
