About You and The Role

What You'll Do

• Design and maintain Hardware-in-the-Loop testers
• Build an extensive suite of system and component level testers for Zipline Aircraft and Ground Software capable of fully automated and unattended testing
• Work with software developers to increase tester capabilities to enable and support remote development
• Validate Aircraft and Ground Software
• Develop comprehensive test plans for Zipline Aircraft and Ground Software with specific attention to how software impacts the product and our service
• Prioritize work within the test plans to maximize value to customers with data-driven decisions focused on impact
• Collaborate cross functionally to reduce duplicated efforts and maximize for efficiency
• Build a diverse team to own validation responsibilities of each subdomain within Zipline’s Aircraft and Ground Software
• Identify priorities and convert high level roadmap plans into discrete action plans
• Grow the team according to need in both headcount and expertise
• Coach engineers to reach short and long term goals for their own career growth
• Identify and connect areas where shared technique and expertise can improve the team’s output, energy, and efficiency
