Job Description: Parsons is now hiring an experienced Advanced Engineer with a desire to work on an exciting Missile Defense/Parsons TEAMS Next Contract.

Job Description: Provide programmatic, technical, and analytical support to the Ground-Based Missile Defense (GMD) Missile Defense Agency test team. Individual will support testing through all phases of its life cycle. Travel may be required.

Position Overview: This position requires a highly motivated advanced engineer to be part of a team of dedicated professionals in support of the Missile Defense Agency in Huntsville, AL. Candidate is responsible for supporting the GMD Test implementation of the GMD Integrated Digital Data Environment (IDDE) to support the transition to the GMD Futures Acquisition contracts. Responsibilities:

  • Ability to lead and execute extensive testing and provide engineering support on systems, system elements, interfacing systems, components, devices and/or processes for complex weapon systems programs
  • Ability to lead the development and management of the GMD Test design and implementation of the Integrated Digital Data Environment (IDDE) which will be the primary tool for the management and transfer of critical information/data among the Government, GMD Futures Acquisition Contracts, and OGAs. Includes stakeholder on-boarding and integration planning
  • Ability to lead and execute extensive testing for complex weapon systems programs during developmental and operational test events including flight, hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL), and operational environments.
  • Ability to apply in-depth technical and theoretical DoD knowledge of developmental and operational testing; able to apply system engineering principles; and/or broad knowledge of MDS, components, and system-level topics. Knowledge of MDA and/or GMD systems is desired.
  • Demonstrate the capability of analyzing and integrating complex data, drawing reasonable and logical system-level conclusions, and developing courses of action for senior leadership and test decision forums.
  • Capable of establishing and optimizing priorities and managing planning and readiness activities of MDS test events IAW approved Test issuances (e.g., CONOPS).
  • Provides expertise in support of element level scenario development, test design, test planning, and/or test execution during all phases of the Test CONOPS.
  • Ability to create and applying process improvement, strategic planning skill and resolves significant technical matters
  • Experience with explaining technical information and possess exceptional technical writing and Government reporting/documentation skills (e.g., Congressional/GAO Test inquiries and Deputy Director, Development Test, Evaluation, and Assessment (DTE&A)/Director, Operational Test and Evaluation (DOT&E) reports).
  • Capable of working independently, as a team member, or leading teams/tasks to solve analysis/engineering problems
  • Capable of providing daily supervision and direction to support teams
  • Experience with DoD test processes and/or test execution

Qualifications:

  • BS in an engineering field with 15+ years of relevant experience in lieu of Master's Degree
  • MS in an engineering field and 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Potential to perform in a lead capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a familiarity of industry practices and regulations are required
  • Must possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on project

Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
