As an Advanced Modeling Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be working in the Technology Development (TD) group supporting the modeling and simulation of next generation memory technologies! This position is in Boise, ID, and you will work with a team of engineers developing not only next generation memory technology, but also various state of the art advanced modeling programs. Your role comprises of executing a project working with the team across various sites. This project will involve developing and validating materials models. You will report results to the TD team and collaborate with them on next steps. This position seeks individuals that can code and implement predictive/prescriptive/descriptive models based on physics, chemistry, mathematics, and ML/DL/AI methods.
Qualifications:

• Experience on algorithm development, numerical methods, and scientific computing
• Experience with computational materials science methodologies
• Background in computational mechanics
• Experience with machine learning and deep learning concepts and applications
• Experience with FEA methods and implementations
• Experience with Bash, Python, Perl/TCl/MATLAB, or C++
• Experience with commercial and open source modeling software
• Previous software development and Linux experience
• Strong debug and problem-solving skills
• Experience writing reports and/or conference papers
• Experience with regression, neural networks, and reinforcement learning framework
• Ability to work in a team environment and experience with remote collaboration tools
• Background in semiconductor process development or integration is encouraged

Education:
Pursuing or completed Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Physical Chemistry, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
