What Will be Your Purpose?

  • Advanced IT Developers are responsible for development, programming, coding of Information Technology solutions.
  • Advanced IT Developers are responsible for documenting detailed system specifications, participation in unit testing and maintenance of planned and unplanned internally developed applications, evaluation, and performance testing of purchased products.
  • Advanced IT Developers are responsible for including IT Controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, as well as availability of the application and data processed or output by the application.
  • Advanced IT Developers are assigned to moderately complex development projects.


What You'll be Doing?

  • Conduct requirements gathering sessions and analyze business processes, data structures, compliance requirements, policies, procedures, etc. with new and existing Archer user groups across the Highmark Health enterprise.
  • Perform field and layout mappings in order to conduct impact analyses on the existing Archer environment based on requirements.
  • Assess data-dependencies in Archer applications and to/from other applications, technologies, databases, etc.
  • Perform data mappings from source files, cross-references, etc. to target fields.
  • Construct workflow charts and diagrams, create system mockup screens and models ("straw-man"), dashboards, reports, and presentations as needed to illustrate prototypes and Archer solutioning pathways.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications including layout, calculated fields, workflow, reporting, notifications, questionnaires, access control / permissions, navigation views, packaging, data feeds, data-driven events (DDE), data migration or conversion, interfaces, etc.
  • Configure Archer applications according to requirements, environment specifications and security models.
  • Conduct unit and integration testing - developing manual or automated test scripts as-needed.
  • Facilitate and conduct user acceptance testing activities and apply feedback to enhance overall user experience and navigation steps.
  • Develop Archer data integration feeds to/from other systems as-needed.
  • Develop custom scripts or utilities to process repetitive tasks which increase team productivity as-needed.
  • Develop data cleansing and migration strategies.
  • Assist with data cleansing and refinement activities prior to loading data to Archer.
  • Proactively seek iterative feedback on design and implementation prior to final QA before release to production.
  • Assist with defining and supporting operational readiness activities including, but not limited to, training materials development, communications, access provisioning, etc.
  • Assist with estimating the level of effort for the project.
  • Adhere to all application and infrastructure change management processes, procedures, controls and prepare the requisite documentation.
  • Adhere to Archer change management and incident management protocols and prepare the requisite documentation.
  • Adhere to all Archer development standards and practices.
  • Provide regular status report updates on progress, milestones, and estimates to complete.
  • Assist with maintaining Archer code library and development standards documentation.


What You Must Have?

  • 4+ years related work experience in IT development/programming/coding.
  • Required Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • Advanced experience with the Archer GRC tool.
  • Experience and understanding with unit testing, release procedures, coding design and documentation protocol as well as change management procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of Information Technology fields and computer systems.
  • Demonstrated organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated database and SQL skills.
  • Ability to manage tasks independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
  • Ability to learn from mistakes and apply constructive feedback to improve performance.
  • Must demonstrate initiative and effective independent decision-making skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly and articulately.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • In-depth understanding of the systems development life cycle.
  • Proficiency using standard desktop applications such as MS Suite and flowcharting tools such as Visio.
  • Proficiency using debugging tools.
  • Advanced critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategy.


What is Preferred?

  • Preferred Certification: RSA Archer Administrator
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field IT related field or equivalent work experience


General Physical Demands:

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.
