This position will be responsible for developing and delivering solutions in multiple applications to support Distribution Operations. Core activities will include development of technical specifications, configuration of standard applications including customization and enhancements, integration and interfaces, implementations, reporting and automated workflows.

The Advanced Software Engineer will have good functional business process knowledge in Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Supply Chain and Finance domains. This person works with a solid knowledge of IT architectures including cloud technologies, applications, database, networking, and security.

Note: This is a remote role within the United States however, must be located with 2+ hours driving distance of one of our core dev. offices that are listed under locations.

Let's talk about the role:

  • This position will be developing in various applications such as HighJump-Warehouse Management Systems (SQL Server Database, SSRS reports, Supply Chain Advantage, Advantage Architect) and Oracle eBusiness Suite within Distribution Operations business capabilities. Will also need to have understanding of 3rd party systems that are integrated with core applications.
  • This position requires strong hands-on development experience in MS SQL with functional and technical knowledge in Order to Cash and Order Fulfillment.
  • Will be involved in full cycle implementation from business requirements, solution designing, development, testing and production rollout
  • Collaborate with business partners and technical peers to gather, validate and deliver products meeting business requirements
  • Responsible for individual unit testing and leading peer code reviews. In addition, participate in identifying test case scenario's and other test phases such as QA, Integration and user acceptance testing
  • Develop accurate, complete, comprehensible, and usable documentation of products and services
  • Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve system functional and technical errors including issues of overall system performance. Troubleshoot on systems and data, and generate solutions which may include systems modifications enhancements or new procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced Agile team that demands coordination across time-zones
  • Work on various Integration tools and technologies - TIBCO, Dell Boomi, Web Methods, SOA etc.
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in written form with multiple stakeholders within and across technical teams and business counterparts

Let's talk about you:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or relevant fields with experience in ERP, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or similar domain is strongly preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in developing solutions and/or integrations with MS SQL or similar.
  • Strong experience in writing complex interfaces, queries, stored procedures, triggers, SQL Server jobs, SSIS packages in SQL Server database etc.
  • Ability to quickly learn and work on Oracle ERP Technologies, Integration Tools - TIBCO, Dell Boomi and WMS Technologies - Supply Chain Advantage, SSRS reports, Advantage Architect and Warehouse Control Systems.
  • Expert knowledge of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Hands on experience in creating and maintaining reports in SSRS and Tableau is preferred
  • Knowledge in .Net (especially creating and consuming web service) is desired
  • Experience in creating custom dashboards and metrics generation using custom tools is desired
  • Experience in optimizing large complex SQL statements and resolving performance related issues is desired
  • Thorough and detailed knowledge of database processing to include data extraction, transformation, and loading to different target data sources including databases and flat files
