The Advance Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) program uses technology to solve the human problems of driving and make it safer, easier, and more enjoyable. Our Safety Electronics team designs and develops hardware, functional models, and software for best-in-class performance on features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Cross Traffic Alert, Active Park Assist and 360 Camera Systems. The ADAS Development Tools and Calibration team supports all software development activities by providing the necessary tools to generate, test and calibrate ADAS features. Job description:

The Cabin Intelligent System (CIS) is an ADAS feature that use the driver facing camera to monitor the driver's level of engagement. It is projected to increase in deployment to compliment other ADAS features as well as increase functionality to monitor passengers and other cabin related information. This position provides a great opportunity to get involved in the development and launch of this feature into production vehicles; and also develop skill sets that are in high demand.

What you'll be able to do:

  • Lead the design, development, validation and core feature signoff of the CIS feature including enhancements and additional functionalities.
  • Work with other feature owners and functional teams in developing CIS features and functionalities to support or enhance other ADAS features.
  • Develop feature specifications, interface requirements, boundary diagrams and other quality documents for the CIS feature.
  • Develop road map for feature enhancements and additional functionalities to keep the CIS feature competitive across the global market.
  • Develop validation methods and conduct development testing to ensure that any changes/enhancements to the feature meets the design criteria.
  • Perform competitor benchmarking of CIS and other related features to learn about market and technology trends.
  • Develop migration plans of the CIS feature into global vehicle programs.
  • Support the CIS Application Feature Owner in the deployment and signoff of the CIS feature into vehicle programs.
  • Incorporate changes to the feature to address issues found during launch and in the field.

The minimum requirements we seek:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, related field or a combination of education and equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of experience in Automotive Industry
  • 1+ years of experience working with MATLAB

Our preferred requirements:

  • MS Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, related field or a combination of education and equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in working with MATLAB, Simulink and CAN tools
  • 5+ years of experience working in ADAS
  • Experience in developing features and functions in Electrical, Chassis, Powertrain or Vehicle Engineering.
  • Able to handle multiple priorities at the same time.
  • Creative. Ability to think "outside the box"
  • Ability to manage a cross functional team
  • Experience in program vehicle signoff and launch activities.
  • Experience in bench and vehicle level testing.
  • Experience in data collection and analysis of real time sensing systems.
